Introduction
Thank you for your interest in our “misfills” program. As a historical background,
the Florida Board of Pharmacy created the need for the “misfills” program in 2000
as a method to help remediate pharmacists who had made an error in the process of
filling a prescription. The following year, Nova Southeastern University College
of Pharmacy and ExamCorp designed a unique offering that meets the “misfills” requirement
of the Florida Board of Pharmacy.
The “misfills” program is unique because it focuses totally upon the individual
and then provides a remediation component specific to the needs of the pharmacist.
It is an eight hour program that starts with a 2-hour self assessment on your home computer
and ends with a discussion (phone) with Dr. Robert Pihl.
The program can
be completed within a few days and can be done in the privacy of your home. Almost
every person to date has enjoyed learning about themselves and how to become more
aware of the many med error challenges that you face daily.
